The world is changing and it is a reality, nowadays the commitment to take care of all aspects of the present to ensure a better future for us and future generations is a widespread concern in all sectors. Undoubtedly, this has brought direct consequences in very specific markets, such as the industry dedicated to the manufacture of PET (polyethylene terephthalate) for its different uses. The manufacture of PET is immersed in a sea of research that seeks to add different compounds or bacteria so that this resin can decompose more quic- kly in order to reduce its impact on the environment. In the case of the U.S. market, despite the challenges it faces, post-consumer PET recycling is on a growing trend.
